From gathering signatures for Proposition 4 in 2018 to securing historic court rulings that have preserved our right to reform our government, Better Boundaries has grown into a powerful force protecting the voice of all Utah voters.
As president of Better Boundaries Board of Directors, I am pleased to introduce Elizabeth Rasmussen, our new Executive Director. She will start on March 10, and work to advance our mission to impact our election system, elevate the voice of Utah voters, and ensure that lawmakers represent the interests of the people above all.
Elizabeth brings impressive public policy experience, including her work as a consultant at Deloitte partnering with federal and state agencies, service on Senator Mitt Romney’s staff in Washington, DC, and her recent campaign for Utah Senate—experience that has given her valuable insight into policy implementation and a deep understanding of Utah’s political landscape.

As a board member of Utah Women Run, and a Utah native, Elizabeth brings both strong community connections and a genuine understanding of our state’s unique needs. She holds a B.A. in American Studies from Brigham Young University and has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to good governance throughout her career.
We are incredibly grateful for the leadership of our outgoing Executive Director, Katie Wright, whose dedication over the past three and a half years has been instrumental in advancing our mission.
Katie has led the effort to ensure that Better Boundaries could financially support the plaintiffs in Utah’s anti-gerrymandering litigation, launched the Better Boundaries Accountability PAC, and spearheaded the efforts to defeat Amendment D, just to name a few of her many contributions. We wish her the best in her next chapter.
Please join me in welcoming Elizabeth to Better Boundaries. We are excited for this next phase and look forward to continuing our work toward fair and accountable government under her leadership.
